Accessibility and Transport
For ZTL access gates, paid parking permits, and tourist bus entry fees, the Municipality of Pienza allows reservations and permit requests through the dedicated digital platform available at the following link: https://pienza.sismic.it/
Alternatively, access is also available via smartphone by scanning the QR code.
Tourist Buses
Tourist buses are required to pay a transit fee.
The designated passenger drop-off and pick-up area for buses, NCC vehicles (private hire with driver), and taxis is located at:
Via Enzo Mangiavacchi, 5.
The parking area reserved for tourist buses is located at:
Via Giorgio Santi.
Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL)
The Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, within the historic city walls of the town centre.
The ZTL area begins at Piazza Dante Alighieri, with active access gates located at:
- Via delle Mura,
- Via Dogadi
- Via dell’Addobbo.
The ZTL regulations also apply to NCC vehicles.
Visitors are advised to pay close attention to road signage in order to avoid penalties.
