Pienza is located in the heart of the Val d’Orcia and is easily accessible by car or public transport such as trains or buses from neighboring towns.
By Car from the North
Take the A1 Autostrada del Sole (Florence–Rome), exit at Valdichiana/Bettolle, then continue towards Torrita di Siena following the signs for Pienza.
By Car from the South
Take the A1 Autostrada del Sole (Rome–Florence), exit at Chiusi/Chianciano Terme, then continue along the SS146 towards Chianciano Terme – Montepulciano and follow the signs for Pienza.
By Train
The nearest railway stations are Chiusi–Chianciano Terme, Montepulciano Stazione, and Torrita di Siena. From these stations, Pienza can be easily reached by local buses, taxis, or private shuttle services.
By Bus
Regular bus connections are available with the villages of the Val d’Orcia and the nearby railway stations. Some seasonal services also provide direct connections to Pienza from Siena.
